TESA Comes Home to Manchester · The Harvest
We Built This — A Cultural Evening of Art, Music & Identity
Three months ago, we walked into a room together for the first time.
Look at what we built.
On Sunday, 27th September, TESA brings its inaugural summer series to its final lap in Manchester with The Harvest — an evening celebrating not just the art on the wall, the music on the stage, or the fabric on the rail, but the community that showed up, kept showing up, and made it all possible.
We Built This is more than the final event of the series. It is the proof.
Proof that African and diaspora communities can come together, create, connect and fill spaces with culture, creativity and belonging. Proof that culture rooted in African heritage has a place — and a future — in Manchester. Proof that when Àyòọba and TESA say “we are building something,” we mean it.
The Harvest brings the full summer journey to life — with a final artist showcase featuring voices from across the series, a closing Sip & Paint celebration, the complete Àyòọba collection, cultural games, African botanical drinks at the Bloom Bar, and a special announcement about what comes next.
Because this is not an ending.
It is the foundation.
The beginning of something bigger, built by all of us.
Come and celebrate what we planted together.
Come and see what has grown.
Come and be part of what comes next.
We did not just attend.
We arrived.
We stayed.
We built something that will outlast the summer.
