TESA Comes to Bolton · First Shoots

We Are Here - A Cultural Evening of Art, Music & Identity Something is beginning in Bolton. On Sunday 19th July, TESA - The Expression Studio by Àyòọba, opens its doors in Bolton for the first time, as a declaration that Bolton's African and diaspora community deserves a cultural space that was built specifically for them. A room that celebrates who they are, where they come from, and everything they are growing into. 'We Are Here' is the first chapter in a three-part summer series - an intimate evening of sip and paint, live artist showcase, cultural games, and an exhibition of the Àyòọba collection, rooted in Adire fabric and African heritage. The atmosphere will be warm, intentional, and unlike anything Bolton has seen before. Come ready to create something, hear something, feel something, and leave knowing you were part of the first night. This evening is for everyone who has ever walked into a room and wondered if there was space for them. There is. It was made for you. What's included: Guided Sip & Paint session Live artist showcase Cultural games zone Àyòọba collection exhibition Bloom Bar - African botanical drinks Welcome drink on arrival

TESA Comes to Bolton · Full Bloom

We Belong Here - A Cultural Evening of Art, Music & Identity The roots are in the ground. Now watch them grow. TESA returns to Bolton on Sunday 23rd August for the second evening in our summer series — and this time, we come back fuller. Fuller in colour, fuller in community, and fuller in the confidence that something real is being built in this city. We Belong Here is for everyone who came to the first night and brought someone with them. It is for everyone who heard about it and wished they had been there. It is for everyone who has always known that Bolton needed this — a space rooted in African heritage, diaspora identity, and the kind of creative joy that only happens when a community gathers for itself. The evening brings new artists to the stage, new pieces to the Àyòọba collection rail, and the same warmth that made the first night unforgettable. The Sip & Paint canvas prompt has deepened. The games corner is louder. The bar knows what you drink. The room feels like somewhere you have been before — because you have, and because you belong in it. Belonging is not something you are given. It is something you build together. We are building it here. What's included New guided Sip & Paint session New artist lineup — live showcase Cultural games zone Expanded Àyòọba collection Bloom Bar — African botanical drinks Welcome drink on arrival

TESA Comes to Bolton · The Harvest

We Built This - A Cultural Evening of Art, Music & Identity Three months ago, we walked into a room together for the first time. Look at what we built. On Sunday 27th September, TESA closes its inaugural Bolton summer series with The Harvest — an evening that celebrates not just the art on the wall, the music on the stage, or the fabric on the rail, but the community that showed up, kept showing up, and made all of it possible. We Built This is the most important evening of the series. Not because it is the last — but because it is the proof. Proof that Bolton's African and diaspora community will fill a room built for them. Proof that culture rooted in African heritage has a home in this city. Proof that when Àyòọba and TESA say "we are building something" — they mean it. The evening brings the full summer arc to life — a final artist showcase featuring voices from across the series, a closing Sip & Paint celebration, the complete Àyòọba collection, and an announcement of what comes next. Because this is not an ending. This is the foundation everything else is built on. Come and celebrate what we planted together. Come and see what has grown. We did not just attend. We arrived. We stayed. We built something that will outlast the summer. What's included Closing Sip & Paint celebration Full artist showcase — series finale Cultural games zone Complete Àyòọba collection Bloom Bar — African botanical drinks Welcome drink on arrival
